Fun With Fido
AS THE whole Bella the golden retriever incident proved, people take their pets very, very seriously, which is why Tabard Theatre Company's new family-friendly show The Dog Sitters offers so much fun: there's plenty of room for satire when it comes to the foibles of canine keepers. The play, written by Mary Chase of Harvey fame, takes place at the Versailles Kennel and features plenty of roles for young thespians, including the dogs themselves, which are played by kids. The Jan. 31 performance starts with a presentation for blind and visually impaired theatergoers before the show, with proceeds going to the Guide Dogs for the Blind, Pet Network and Canine Companions.
