Taxing Issues

[whitespace] Taxes Made Easy

Of course, the very easiest thing to do is ignore them; just take those pesky W-2s and secrete them in some out-of-the-way drawer. But you didn't read that here.

After denial, the next easiest way to deal with taxes is via an online service. The very simplest, most hassle-free program online lives at www.e1040.com, The Easiest Online Income Tax Return Preparation Service. What makes this one so simple is that, unlike most online services, it provides the software. No need to rush out and buy MacIntax or TurboTax in order to file directly with the IRS. No need to scrounge up stamp and envelope in order to mail in a copy of the form, either--just click on "Submit" and tax forms vanish into the incredibly efficient network that is the IRS--after examination by the tax preparers at e1040. They're happy to take care of the details--all they ask is $60 for their trouble to prepare a basic return package.

For sheer ease, the next best bet is walking into a tax preparer's office (make an appointment first), turning over the paperwork and paying half a c-note for the privilege of leaving the entire thing in someone else's hands.
