Artist's work shows up in all kinds of places A collection of paintings will be on display in Bingham's Fairmont Hotel gallery through April. In addition to the current exhibit at the Bingham Gallery there are a number of other locations to see paintings by A.D.M. Cooper in the greater Bay Area: Historical Museum of San Jose 1600 Senter Road, San Jose Five of Cooper's works are currently on display at the Pacific Hotel exhibit, while the museum has an archive of Cooper's works that includes 32 paintings (including The Blacksmith), 247 sketches, his camera, easels and a silk hat. Hamlin's Antiques Moss Landing Road, Moss Landing Proprietors Roy Hamlin and Nathan Sawyer have five Cooper originals, plus a photo of A.D.M. painting in his studio. Two of the works, located for many years in the Oriental Cafe on San Fernando Street in San Jose, are extremely large canvases from the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition's California Room display. Well worth a side trip, though their hours are irregular. Stanford University Museum Cooper's rendition of Jane Stanford's jewels will hang once again from the walls of the Leland Stanford Room when the museum re-opens in 1998.
