New in Town
Reviewed by Nicole Pizzurro
With mirrored walls, revolving disco lights and pink neon palm trees, Club Miami (located above Emma's Restaurant) lives up to its tropical nomenclature. Free tango and salsa lessons along with a live Latin band make it accessible to both beginning and advanced dancers. No experience is necessary; rhythm-deprived novices jangle happily next to swirling, twirling, gifted dancers. It may take two to tango, but it takes patient Club Miami dance instructors to get everyone on their feet. In no time, you'll be competing in the regular dance contests. Club Miami is an excellent place to learn the cha-cha in a fun atmosphere, but mixed drinks are definitely not the house specialty. There is no cover charge on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Be sure to dress nice--the doorman is strict as far as the dress code goes.
