New in Town
Reviewed by Nicole Pizzurro
This yupscale lounge, part of a restaurant featuring white linen and candlelit tables, is a fine place to contemplate man's humanity to man. Johnny Z's prides itself on offering a wide variety of cigars, and the smell of high-priced stogies permeates. With a beautiful mahogany bar, an antique cash register, dark-red plush chairs and a baby grand piano, the establishment provides a classy yet cozy atmosphere just right for lighting up. Friendly bartenders serve up brandies, cognacs and mixed drinks while patrons either watch a game on the medium-sized TV or quietly converse with friends. Customers can consume penne pasta or steak and lobster in the dining room, but a visit to the lounge is still recommended.
