Amenities: Food and beer vendors
Ambience: Outdoor parking lot

MUSIC IN THE PARK at Plaza de Cesar Chavez is a weekly downtown event that brings many people out of their offices to mingle, eat, drink and flirt. A new outdoor event down the street hopes to keep the good vibes and momentum flowing after the main event ends. Jacek Rosicki (Agenda and Zoë) and Fil Maresca (Filco) have taken over the parking lot at the SoFA crosshairs (South First and San Salvador streets), set up a stage and sound system, and hired local artists to play shortly after the Music in the Park ends. The first installment opens this Thursday, July 10, with local blues ace Chris Cain (pictured). Music After Dark provides a nice transition from Music in the Park. If you didn't get that hottie's digits the first time at Plaza de Cesar Chavez, Music After Dark buys you extra time.
