Faster Than Speed-Dial! The research is in: cell phones really do separate the quick from the dead. ACCORDING TO the cell-phone's greatest defender, Dr. Dean Edell, using mobile phones may actually speed up our reaction time. In a blurb printed on his healthcentral.com website, Edell says that volunteers with a device clamped to their ear that transmits microwave transmissions were able to react quicker to words and pictures. Referring to a New Scientist article as his source, Edell explained that researchers were not sure if the speedier reaction was the result of increased blood flow from the slight warming near the brain or if the emissions caused a change in the body's defense system. In even more heartening news for this cancer-crazy society, Edell also mentioned another related study.
