5 Places to Love

Salmon

IF there's a fish of summer, it's king salmon. Sleek, silvery salmon go hand in hand with sunny days. But as all good things come to an end so does commercial salmon season. Sept. 30 is the last day of the season for California-caught salmon, and Alaskan salmon, which makes up a majority of the salmon, available now, is starting to taper off as well with the onset of colder weather. So get your fresh wild salmon while you still can. The following are a few top markets where you're likely to find your last-chance summer fish.
