5 Things to Love

Great Food Websites

By Stett Holbrook

Chowhound.com: Bay Area message board is a great source for out-of-the-way, essential ethnic eating.

The Gallery of Regrettable Food: Presents truly repulsive photographs of food from cookbooks of yore. I may be going out on a limb but I think this may be the funniest website in the world. lileks.com/institute/gallery/index.html.

Razz.com: If you've got a taste for restaurants on the divier side, this Bay Area-focused website is your essential guide. Click on the "lunchtime dives" link.

Sautewednesday.com: One-stop shopping to the wide and wonderful world of food journalism.

Worldramen.net: If you're serious about ramen, check this out. The website includes a ramen FAQ, a ramen diner's journal and a guide to legendary ramen shops in Tokyo.
