Celebrations and Exhibits
Arte o Muerte The opening of an exhibition of traditional and contemporary altars that reflect the individual artist's heritage. A procession, Aztec dance performance, face-painting, sugar-skull making and more are also a part of Día de los Muertos festivities at the plaza. Living and Loving Memories A Día de Los Muertos celebration and ofrenda on exhibit throughout November. Those who would like to commemorate a loved one are invited to bring a photo for the ofrenda. Vivir Sonando y Morir Bailando Teatro Familia Aztlan presents a celebration of life on Day of the Dead. With music and performances by Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Grupo Inolvidable and salsa dancers. Fri, 8pm (preview, all seats $5), Sat, 2 and 8pm (evening performance is gala opening), Sun, 2pm, Wed, 8pm (free, tonight only). $12 door/$10 adv/$25 gala opening.
