IF THE WAY to longevity and success is paved by theme nights, then the newly opened 358 Culture Lounge definitely has what it takes to survive and prosper. This attractive club located in the Capitol and McKee area on San Jose's East Side has something special just about every night it is open. For a prime example, take the first and third Thursdays of the month, when the joint is rocking with killer house and drum 'n' bass music. Saturday eves have recently rotated through live music acts (like the R&B-man Ron Matthews), ladies' nights and radio station-sponsored events. Monday night, at least through the end of the year, is football time. 358 Culture Lounge also has a few pool tables for those looking to rack up some games of nine ball. The bar boasts beer selections from around the world and offers a suitable appetizer menu. Furthermore, 358 Culture Lounge is available to host private parties and corporate events. When Diddy or J.Lo come to town, the club is prepared to hook them up with the full VIP treatment, which can include bottles of champagne and limo service.
