Sunday Jazz Series 2006
The Improv, 62 S. Second St., San Jose, 408.288.7557, Jan. 8-March 26; 3-5pm

WHO WOULD willingly give up Super Bowl Sunday to vibe out on jazz jams? Ask the subscriber base of the San Jose Jazz Society. For the past 17 years, music fans have communed downtown to pay homage to local and national musicians. The Sunday Jazz Series staves off the winter chill with hot licks and warm pipes. The 2006 program mixes music from across the diaspora, finishing strong with a one-two punch of vocalists Claidee (pictured) and Paula West. A significant change for 2006; the Sunday Series venue has moved to the larger Improv.

Limited tickets are available at the door so guarantee yours by subscribing. For information, visit www.sanjosejazz.org.
