The Murder City Devils brought the hammer down at The Blank Club earlier this week. MCD front man Spencer Moody nearly swallowed the microphone and the large mosh pit nearly swallowed the entire crowd, as the band tore through set of classics, like “Press Gang” and scorching new songs, like “I Don’t Wanna Work For Scum Anymore.”
You’d have to be pretty gullible to believe the rumors bouncing around the Internet today, claiming that real life purges (as in The Purge, that one movie with Ethan Hawke) were about to start taking place all over the country. But if there was one place this week where the rule of law was briefly suspended, you would be forgiven for believing it was at this show.
