As he got older, he kept learning more instruments and found a way to marry his classical music upbringing with the rock music he adored as a teenager.
And of course, he got to be in the Mumlers, who were not only on of the best bands to come out of San Jose in the past decade, but a band with a very liberal policy on genre-blending.
“Being in the Mumlers, I learned how to be in a band—getting shows and recording. I’m enjoying (Plantain) a lot because I get a lot more say in the decisions. It’s more responsibility, but I like the responsibility,” Fenwicke says.
