.Recap: 'Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience'

Whether you consider yourself a member of Team Stark or Team Lannister, believe Daenerys Targaryen to be a true leader of the people or some sort of high fantasy cult of personality, and no matter where you come down on the Red Woman and her fickle Lord of Light, as a true fan of HBO’s adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, you are insanely invested in Game of Thrones.
That much was clear at last night’s production of the nationally touring “Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience.” The concert drew devotees of the show—soon to enter its seventh season—to the SAP Center for a gripping musical tour through Westeros and its surrounding free cities.
Over the course of the two-hour performance, we in the audience were reminded again and again of everything we love about Game of Thrones, as the show’s lead composer, Ramin Djawadi, led a full orchestra, choir and specialty players through the various musical themes of each of the saga’s main characters, as key developments played out on screens above the stage.
The crowd cheered for the victories of Tyrion and Daeny, and hissed the villain Ramsay Bolton, and it all came back in a flood of moving images and sound. Just in case you forgot, and weren’t there for the primer, here are the five best moments from the Game of Thones series.
Daenerys gets all Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego with it, simultaneously earning her two honorifics: “The Unburnt” and “Mother of Dragons.”

Tyrion Lannister proves that size—both stature and the number of ships in your fleet—aren’t as important as brains in the Battle of Blackwater Bay.

#TFW you’re staring down the cavalry and you’re a total fucking badass. Jon Snow at the Battle of the Bastards.

“Hold the door.” The doom of Hodor.

Cersei proves that the enemy of my enemy is truly my friend.
