.Redwood Symphony in Courtyard Square

The summer season is just starting, but Redwood City has been ready for a couple of week already, filling Courtyard Square with free concerts. But this weekend is special: just what parents need to entertain the now-idle youth. Redwood Symphony presents a family-friendly classical concert, with Maestro Eric K leading the all-volunteer orchestra through a cowboy-themed program that includes film composer John Williams’ overture from The Cowboys, Aaron Copland’s Hoe-Down from Rodeo, and Richard Hayman’s Pops Hoe-Down, plus works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Fauré and Hans Zimmer.
