Known as one of comedy’s “best journalists,” Roy Wood Jr. has blazed his own stand-up career covering politics. From interviewing President Obama to hosting Roy’s Job Fair for Comedy Central, Wood riffs on headlines as much as he entertains. Before becoming a beloved correspondent on The Daily Show, the Manhattan-born, Birmingham-raised journalism student worked as a head writer and producer for radio. After moving to LA, he placed third in NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His morning show, The Roy Wood Jr Show, won several Large Marketing Morning Show of the Year awards from the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
