THIS YEAR’S San Jose Jazz Festival features everything from funk gods George Clinton, Maceo Parker and Tower of Power, to a whole stage devoted to blues, to salsa, to … oh, yeah, jazz! Well, it’s all jazz, as the very forward-thinking organizers have come to realize, but there’s a good number of top traditional acts, as well. Besides the Mothership landing, highlights to watch for include bassist and producer Marcus Miller performing the music of Miles Davis, including Tutu, the 1986 album Miller wrote and produced for the jazz legend
