.Joan Baez Discusses New Book at Keplers

This spring iconic folksinger Joan Baez officially adds “upside down illustrator” to her list of talents. Though best known for her crystalline voice, decades of human rights work and anti-war politics, Baez has been drawing (and doodling) through it all to better understand herself and the chaotic world around her. In her book Am I Pretty When I Fly? the musician shares yet another side of herself, finding some answers and many more questions in the whimsical process of sketching upside down. The event is sold out, but fans can still purchase a ticket to the livestream, which includes a copy of the book.
