Over the last few years, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra has earned a reputation for bringing top musicians to the city and providing them space to perform with technical virtuosity. Their latest event features the San Francisco-based Telegraph Quartet in conjunction with SJCO’s principal players. For the performance, the musicians will move through various chamber orchestra pieces, including Alexander Borodin’s “Quartet No. 2” and Pulitzer Prize-winning Black composer George Walker’s “Quartet No. 1, Lyric.” Rounding out the show, the musicians will move through Osvaldo Golijov’s “Last Round,” an idealized bandoneon that sonically manifests an accordion’s inhalation and exhalation.
