As a live act, Smokey’s high, honeyed vibrato rings as tenderly as it does on a 45 rpm vinyl. His late-career LP Gasms (2023) delivers new feel-good love songs and ballads, but concert-goers in Saratoga can still enjoy a night of singing along to their favorite nostalgic hits. At 83 years old, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee still brings crowds to church singing “The Tracks of My Tears.”
