The Indian poet, professor and philosopher Hazrat Inayat Khan once said, “When we pay attention to nature’s music, we find that everything on Earth contributes to its harmony.” As 2024 marches into spring, what better way to observe nature’s music than with a concert of classical movements? Palo Alto Philharmonic presents the Spring Chamber Concert, featuring some of Western Europe’s greatest historical composers, including Beethoven, Haydn, Mendelssohn and more. As former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli once pointed out, “Nature has given us two ears but only one mouth,” so this weekend, spring has the right of way, ringing in the season with some beautiful harmonies.
