San Jose’s local musicians are turning it up a notch. This Friday, three local performers come to Race Street’s Art Boutiki Music Hall for an evening of up-and-coming music for a night of fun and dancing. Lila Nazareno opens the show with tunes from her debut album A Loose Assortment, featuring dazy melodic tunes like “Optimistic” that transport listeners to a rave in the forest. Bad Beginning followup with some alternative funk and cover songs, perfected by the five-piece over the last three years. Headliners Stratosphere return to the stage for a longer set of Christian rock tunes, following their opening set at AB last month.
