Bay Area keyboardist Sundra Manning released a 30-second YouTube clip previewing a new song called “Right Side Up.” It’s a bouncy, soulful, jazzy tune that will get heads bopping, even if just for a moment. She’ll be debuting the song at her upcoming performance at SJZ Break Room this Saturday, who commissioned the piece as a part of the New Works Fest. Sundra is a versatile musician with decades of experience. She’s performed with MC Hammer, Lalah Hathaway, Pete Escovedo, Raphael Saadiq and Peter Tork (of the Monkees). But when she performs her music, there is a joy to it that is contagious, even in that 30-second clip of “Right Side Up.” (AC)
