.TACO: Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra in Cupertino

music in the park, psychedelic furs

How about an inclusive, DIY, punk rock attitude applied to baroque and classical orchestral music? The Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra dumps the gatekeeping of perfection and invites adults of all ages and levels of ability to play music together. How does it sound? Well, it sounds like a lot of fun. All abilities mean all abilities and some pros from other orchestras will sit in with the regular folk as TACO celebrates its 15th anniversary by premiering the final orchestral composition of beloved Bay Area composer Nancy Bloomer Deussen, who passed away in 2019. There will also be a screening of Silence to Sound, a short film about Deussen’s creative process.
