LA-based composer/musician Tashi Wada will perform pieces from his new album, What Is Not Strange?, along with vocalist Julia Holter. Recorded over a period that marked the death of his father and the birth of his daughter, each piece not only challenges how fans have thus far viewed his music but exudes complexity and a curious, spiky joy. The program is accompanied by a visual art exhibition called Spirit House, featuring contemporary artists of Asian descent on themes of life and death.
