In an age where country music mostly consists of overproduced love ballads and nauseatingly poppy songs about a man’s truck and dog, it’s refreshing to hear something a little more raw. Outlaw Country band the Barnyard Stompers takes that idea, straps it onto the back of the General Lee and launches it into the bayou, with a sound that is as wild as it is intense and infectious. The San Antonio-based duo play fast, uproarious songs in a variety of styles—dealing with everything from revenge to high-proof corn liquor.
