Okay, on first hearing the Hello Hello’s, my brain scrambled because the sound didn’t match the look. By appearance, one would think them a quiet and subtle indie rock band. However, their music is bold and deeply powerful, led by the absolutely incredible vocals belted out by singer Andrew Hernandez. What’s more, the San Jose quartet has only been around for two fleeting years and is already sounding like a tightly organized group. This year, they’ve dropped three new singles that capture their dynamic range of style and are poised to headline the Caravan Lounge on Friday. Adding to the evening are local punks StrateJacket and San Jose trio (via Ohio) 100% Jennifer.
