When a widowed British schoolteacher is summoned by the king of Siam to tutor his wives and children, worlds collide, as the two develop a temperamental relationship. He’s a staunch traditionalist of an old culture, and she’s modern, educated foreigner. The pair push at each other’s buttons and boundaries until they realize how deep their feelings for each other run. It’s a story of culture clash, imperialism and love. One of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most notable, Tony Award-winning musicals features the beloved songs “Getting To Know You,” “I Whistle a Happy Tune,” “Hello Young Lovers” and “Shall We Dance?” Runs through Feb. 25.
