Presumably named after the ill-fated and ultimately fatal ’70s free concert in the East Bay, the Lords of Altamont embody their name through dirty, hard-rocking sonic explorations that hark back to the raw, pure expression of bands like the Stooges or the Cramps. Joining them at The Ritz is Flexx Bronco, another purveyor of the dirty rock sound with elements of Motörhead and even Anthrax. Rounding out the night is the Death Valley Gypsies, a heavy rock, long-haired outfit that looks back to ’80s glam rock sounds with the aesthetics of the more outlaw acts of the ’70s.
