Mountain View’s Pear Theatre is back with a new plate of fresh, juicy one-acts for South Bay audiences with short attention spans. This annual showcase of original work by the Pear Playwrights’ Guild, previously praised by the Mercury News, presents a cycle of 10- to 15-minute plays featuring a single cast of actors. With 11 currently active members, the Guild’s playwrights explore (in their own words) “authentic multicultural dramas,” “nerd-flavored dark comedy” and “a sprinkling of outer space, religion, science and magic.” Closing May 14, Pear Slices runs Thursday through Saturday evenings with a 2pm Sunday matinee.
Opens Fri, 8pm, $20-38

Caitlin Stone-Collonge is certainly an up-and-coming young photographer! I’ve enjoyed her work frequently.
