It really is a brave, new world, irrefutably interconnected in the age of globalization and the internet. Case in point: Chinese rapper Wang Qiming. Not only is it astounding to think about the fact that an art form born in the ghettos of New York in the late ’70s took the world by storm so that in 2025, someone 7,058 miles away can make a living off it, but Qiming is also talented. One listen to his music, and it’s almost impossible to hold back from bobbing one’s head to the beat and reaching for the Google translator. Simply put, his beats are fat, and his delivery is smooth. Even if there is a language barrier, it further proves that music is a universal language.
