It’s tough being a stand-up comedian. So says Willie Barcena, a 20-year comedy veteran whose one-person show Cry Like a Man (about the pitfalls of the business) earned him critical acclaim. Over his career, Barcena’s no-topics-barred approach garnered ten appearances on the Tonight Show, multiple Comedy Central, Showtime and Netflix specials, and plenty of sold-out shows nationwide. Whether it’s his roots (born in Mexico and raised in East LA), the time he decided to try cannabis edibles by taking a whopping 150 mg on the first go, or Jesus giving away miracles for free, Barcena freely gives his mind on any subject in the name of getting a good laugh.
