Heavy Lemon has been on a roll lately with its billings of complementary local bands in burgeoning Bay Area spaces. This week features bands Windsor Terrace, So Pitted, Miscomings and Juniper at Fremont cafe Tamper Room. Headliner Windsor Terrace bills itself as prog-punk but elements of post-hardcore and screamo shine through in its glitchy, almost noise rock sound. So Pitted is harder to categorize but its music feels like some kind of shoegaze mind control program. Miscomings gazes upon the shoe as well but in more of a punk way, while Juniper sounds like some good, old-fashioned skatepunk with an unexpected gospel influence on some songs.
