Claddagh
1300 First St #A, Gilroy; 408.848.5050
The Claddagh used to be the only player in the small Gilroy bar scene. Even though some other establishments have cropped up in recent years this Gilroy bar still remains king. During the day, the Claddagh is more of a family restaurant establishment, catering to locals' yen for tasty food from the British Isles. However, after the soccer moms and Little League all-stars have gone home, the Claddagh turns into a raging hot spot full of guzzlers who all went to high school together.

940 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas; 408.957.9215
Dave & Buster's combines an excellent American restaurant and sports bar with a kicking arcade filled with the latest games the geek down the street has been dreaming up. The heady mix of booze and food with ultranew and vintage video games is irresistible.
Saddle Rack
42011 Boscell Rd, Fremont; 510.979.0477
A legendary San Jose country dance club and live-music venue that left the confines of near downtown for the wide-open frontier range of Fremont and took all of the two-stepping good times with it. The new Saddle Rack is a massive structure consisting of a couple of rooms packed to capacity with Country & Western-lovin' patrons drinking, dancing and riding the mechanical bull. Every Wednesday through Saturday, the Saddle Rack is a rocking good time whether there's a national name belting it out on the custom stage or the house band is getting the large belt buckle.
